Not that I am looking for more environmental items to focus on but this oil sands development in Alberta appears to warrant some attention IMMEDIATELY.
Apparently, producing a barrel of oil from oil sands produces 3 times the amount of greenhouse gases than from conventional methods.
As per the Sierra Club, in 2000 the GG emissions from oil sands produced approx 3% of our total GGs.
The GG emissions from oil sands will increase to approx 3 to 5 times by 2015.
